A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol was written by Charles Dickens which have been became popular work for Western countries’ people.
In order to learn this book, we have to know the leading actor who named Ebenezer Scrooge. How to say? All in all, Scrooge is a lawyer and the wealth is the ultimate things that tell. He always alone and he wanted to be alone, there was no warmth in his body and his mind. So he had not a friend. He never warmed his office or his house even in the coldest days of the year, and even on Christmas. All in all he is a cruel, angry, unhappy, greedy old man.
The story began with a Christmas Eve after he’s the best friend, Jacob Marley dead 7 years. Don't be surprised. Scrooge and Jacob became friend because of they have the same interest—the more and more money, and as same as greedy and cruel.
This Christmas Eve have many visitors. The first one is Scrooge’s nephew. He came with a cheerful voice: Merry Christmas, uncle! This made his uncle angry, Scrooge thought Christmas is stupid, it took nothing but more bills, and himself a year older. But his nephew can’t make any money during holidays. But his nephew holds on his mind that there are many things from which he have derived good and have not profited. Scrooge knew he can’t success the argument. So he said nothing and when he knew his nephew fell in love and going to marriage he angry and commanded him went away at once. At last, his nephew left without angry with his uncle, he knew clearly who his uncle is.
     Not very long after Scrooge’s nephew left, his office came two gentlemen and asked him to help the poor and needy people. As was expected Scrooge refused them firmly. He said” The population of this country is too big. A few deaths won’t hurt!”
At night, Scrooge knew his clerk must be wanted to have a day rest, but Scrooge thought it quite not fair because he have to pay a day’s salary, while the clerk without working, but he allowed at last.
Scrooge came back home, there was a terrible thing happened: the doorknob had changed into Marley’s face. But when Scrooge paid attention to it, the face disappeared. Scrooge had a little afraid but he didn’t believe spirit, so he went to the bedroom as usual. The dark night came quickly, the horrified things happened, the bells in the bedroom rang more and more crazily with no one touched it, while the bells grew softer Scrooge found a man appeared with many long and heavy chains. Scrooge knew this man, yeah it unanswerable he is Marley’s sprit!
Marley came to worn him that he should not be such cruel and greedy at all, and he told Scrooge that he had made as same as heavy and long chains 7 years ago, and now Scrooge have continued to built it.
Scrooge felt freighted and begged Marley told him some good, but Marley only talked to him that there were three sprits would come to meet him in different time, and it was the last chance left of escaping him punishment when he died.


When Marley left, he took Scrooge to the window, there are many ghosts floated in the air who all of them wore the heavy long chains. They cried terrible, because they never been good and kind in life. And most of them Scrooge had known when they were lived.
The first spirit arrived at second day morning one o’clock in time. He is called”the Ghost of Christmas Past”, he said he is the Ghost of Scrooge’s past, he came here in order to save him.
The ghost took him flied to his birthplace, and he saw his classmates and young Scrooge at school. Scrooge’s hard heart seemed to be moved but he ignored it on purpose. After second the background turned, and little Scrooge became younger, now his little sister Fan came to take him back home where his father . The ghost said she had a large, loving heart and Scrooge agreed, he revived that his young little sister has a son who is his nephew.
Soundly they left school came to the place where he had his first work. His boss was a kind old man, in the Christmas day he held a large party made all of them fell in happiness, and Scrooge realized his boss use a few money but took his employees as great as if it cost a mountain of gold!
At last, ghost took Scrooge to his office when he was about 20 years old. He was argued with his former fiancé. She said she knew there was a love instead of his love to her, which was love of money. But young Scrooge held on that there was nothing as hard as being poor, and he was not changed toward to her. His former finance knew clearly that his entire dream was disappear but money. So she said: I release you Scrooge. The old Scrooge saw these felt as if a knife was cutting him heart. He begged ghost took him left, and he grabbed the ghost’s cap put it over ghost’s head, but he can't put it up totally. Suddenly, the house back dark, and Scrooge fell into sleep again quickly.
As Marley’s mean the second ghost will came at 1 o’clock, but 15 minutes passed, and no ghost came. When he got up, he found a big man appeared in his sitting room. And all of there are full of beautiful Christmas decoration. The ghost said he called “The Ghost of Christmas Present”. This time Scrooge asked him to took him anywhere he wanted. The ghost commanded Scrooge touch his robe. Firstly, the ghost took him to a street where the house were dark and small, but the people here are live with happiness, all of there were full of the breath of Christmas. When Scrooge argued for ghost that he’s brother took away the poor people’s dinner, the ghost angry to tell him that it was the people who have done their deeds to crime while using their name.
After some minutes they reached his clerk, Bob’s home. At Christmas’ party because all of family members are arrived, they were very happiness eating goose at dinner. Scrooge saw the Tiny Tim, and felt an emotion he had never felt before, but ghost told him that he would died if the future didn't change, Scrooge opposed it, ghost said” The population of this country is too big. A few deaths won’t hurt!” , Scrooge bowed his head with ashamed, this sentence it’s he said when gentlemen asked him money to save poor people. After this ghost took him to many other place where live poor people, the all earned less money, but they were happy at all. At last ghost sent him to his nephew’s home, there was a party. Guests playing music, talking joke, playing games, to one’s surprised, Scrooge played with them happily, forgot that he could not be heard or saw. When ghost asked him to left he even begged ghost to give him an hour. But there was no time, the Ghost taken him away again. They saw many people’s Christmas. The midnight came quickly, it's time for ghost to left. Before ghost left, Scrooge saw two people inside the ghost’s rube, they looked mean, ugly, terrible. Ghost told Scrooge: they are Man’s children, the Ignorance and the Want, they represented all the miserable, hungry, poor people.


      The last Ghost slowly and silently walked towards to Scrooge. This ghost was very different from the other two whose body full of darkness and mystery. When Scrooge asked him if he was “the Ghost of the Christmas future”, the ghost say nothing but point a place where full of mist. They walked through the mist Scrooge found him was in the center street of London. There were some people were talking about a man who was dead last night. They seemed happy to know this man was died, because he was a mean, angry man. Scrooge didn't know who he is, he looked ghost but received nothing but another place where also had some people talked about this man’s died and they seemed happy to know it too. Leaving street of London, they went to a terrible and mass shop, here came two old women and all of them took a heavy bag in her arms, which belong the dead man. Because of the man had no friends when he was alive. So now they can get things from him. Scrooge knew that it was his end, he freighted and begged the ghost to leave. Suddenly they arrived to a dead man’s bed covered with a sheet, but Scrooge afraid to see him, asked ghost to take him anyone who feels something about this man. The background changed again, now they standing in his clerk Bob’s home. Today is unusually, this home has no laugh voice but sadness. Scrooge found Tiny Tim was not here, and soon Scrooge saw there is a stick behind the chair, Tim was died Scrooge felt very sad. At last, Scrooge asked ghost to see himself at future, ghost took him to a tomb and pointed a tombstone which wrote his name and the date is in Christmas day this year, it means he was dead now! Scrooge screamed, cried begged ghost gave him one more chance and he will be a good man. Ghost said nothing but pushed him into the tomb.
This time Scrooge woke up, and found he was sleeping in the bed—he was still alive! This made Scrooge dancing and singing, just as he was died once and now he was alive again. He was so happy that didn't what to do first. He asked a boy who passed his house help him bought the largest goose and sent to his clerk, Bob’s home. He thought it must be a big surprised to them. Then he wore his best clothes in a hurry, he could not wait to go out. Meanwhile he came across the gentleman who had worked into his office yesterday, Scrooge promised him gave him a large of money to help the poor men and leaving the surprised gentleman left. At night, Scrooge took apart his nephew’s party and had a good day. Second day, he told his clerk, Bob he would raise his salary, and helped his family, he did all his promised for ghost, many people thought he was crazy but he was not care—he never forgot the lessons that three ghosts taught him.
