这卷中比较了老托初稿的魔戒和之后发行版的，老托修改了很多东西，甚至包括主人公名字。
原来是个叫Bingo的霍比特，之后改成Frodo了。
其他的先不说，就看到再Rivendell那段和豆腐爷爷的谈话直接戳中我萌点了。
以下先放段原文。
有段话直接戳我萌点了
'Did Elrond make the flood then?' asked Bingo.
'No, I did,'(4) said Gandalf. 'It is not very difficult magic, in a
stream that comes down from the mountains. The sun has been
fairly hot today. But I was surprised to find how well the river
responded. The roar and rush was tremendous.'
'It was,' said Bingo. 'Did you also send Glorfindel?'
'Yes,' said Gandalf, ' - or rather, I asked Elrond to lend him to
me. He is a wise and noble elf. Bilbo is - was - very fond of him. I
also sent Rimbedir (5) (as they call him here) - that Trotter fellow.
From what Merry tells me I gather he has been useful.'
Bingo就是后来的Frodo， Trotter就是阿拉贡，后来文中是称Strider，神行客，Rimbedir就是阿拉贡的精灵语名字，后来也改成Estel。
这段里更说明了小格的强大啊，豆腐爷爷问E爸特地借来的小格，因为他是既有智慧又高贵。
戳中我萌点的就是这里说Bilbo十分喜欢小格。当然嘛，小格的性子如此，有人会不喜欢他吗？？？
顺便，Bilbo is - was - very fond of him， 这里不是说Bilbo曾经喜欢小格现在不喜欢，而是指豆腐爷爷并不想透露给Bingo那个他叔叔就在Rivendell，他要给他一个惊喜。
所以如果说“Bilbo is very fond of him ”那就有点半透露了Bilbo现在就再林谷，而改成“was”的话，就是说他那时在林谷的时候很喜欢小格，也就纠正了不小心说漏嘴把Bilbo具体再哪透露给Bingo了。
我个人一直很喜欢Bilbo，一直觉得他特别可爱，而他都那么喜欢小格，矮油油，太萌了呀~~~
