Prologue
Scene 1
(Classroom)
(Close up shot of a hand holding a piece of test paper. A high score was printed on the paper.)
(The owner of this piece of paper, he starts to compare his score with the others and shows disrespect to those who are worse than him in a very subtle way…)
Scene 2
(Classroom)
(Close up shot of another piece of test paper. Obviously this one is done much worse than the previous one.)
(The owner of this piece of paper wrapped it up and threw it away. Then he looked at his cell phone, at his mother’s text message. “How well did you do on the test?” she asked. “What test? There was no test.” He replied.)

(BGM: Class-over bell)
Black screen
(Off-screen voice)
Interviewer: what do you usually do after school?
Scene 1
(After school, everyone hurried out of the school. The small street in front of the school suddenly got busy)
(The one with a good grade, came straightly to the subway station and got on a train directly to his home.)
(The one with a bad grade, went directly to the food stand across from the school.)
Cut to
Scene 2
(Bad student’s home)
(It’s an interview)
Interviewer: Why do you choose to live like this?
(Bad student kept his head down, looking for the word to shut the interviewer up)
Cut to
Scene 3
(Food stands)
(The student was waiting for some street-cooked food, which is clearly not good for health.)
(Off-screen voice)
Bad student: What else do you expect me to do?
Cut to
Scene 4
(In the subway train)
(The good student took out a piece of homework paper and started working)
(Off-screen voice)
Interviewer: Have homework ever bothered you??
Good student: Homework? Sometimes. I’m afraid I can’t finish them all. (Pause and gasp) I’m busy on Saturdays, you have to know.)
(Some other kids are doing their homework in the train, just like him. A couple near him glanced at him and then turned their heads away.)

(Black and white)
(The good student is attending extra classes. He was listening to the teacher attentively.)

(Bad student’s home)
Interviewer: Do you have a goal?
(The bad student remains silent.)

(Streets)
(The very couple I mentioned before walked by. The bad student glanced at them with controlled jealousy.)

(The bad student shook his head.)

(Good student’s home)
(In the darkness, a door opened. The good student came in and turned on the light. His home was rather fancy. He puts down his schoolbags, drank a glass of water, took a look out of the window and then went straightly to his study.)
