You are bidding on an awesome Werber Sportswear A-2 jacket in size 40. This fantastic jacket was manufactured by Bill Kelso in Greece, makers of astonishing WWII era USAAF and USN flight jackets:

Made from good old fashioned veg-tanned Italian seal brown Victory Horsehide, this fantastic reproduction of a WWII era Werber Sportswear A-2 is faithful in every detail to the original military specifications, including lining shade, knit color, brand tag, press-studs and last but not least an ORIGINAL 1940s era Crown Zipper, which by itself was tagged at $250. The leather color, trim and collar configuration is typical of the Werber models and the quality of the fine Italian leather is unsurpassable.
The jacket was bought from Bill Kelso early in 2014 and has not seen much action. Worn once!! It is decorated with a beautiful leather Chinese/American WWII Blood Chit on the back, a leather layered Air Transport Command patch on the left breast and CBI and USAAF roundel insignia on both arms, also made of beautiful layered leather. The pictures speak for themselves.
Measurements are as follows:
Armpit to Armpit: 22 in.
Sleeves (from end of shoulder to end of cuff): 26 in.
Back (from bottom of the collar to end of the waistband): 26 in
Shoulder to shoulder: 18 in
The jacket is a comfortable size 40. I am a thin 42 and it suits me well too. The jacket did not see action and it came with canvas pockets sewed to the inside which were removed. There are a few ghost stitching marks left from that job (see the pictures). There is also a ghost mark behind the left ATC patch from a previous patch having been substituted by the current one. Everything else is absolutely in perfect new condition.
All in all a superb collector’s item ready for display or wear. The jacket was originally tagged at $1500 with the patches and original Crown Zipper. But because a patch was substituted and the canvas pockets were removed I am asking for a reasonable price.
