RWBY: Grim Eclipse was made by me (Jordan Scott), but there are
many people whom the game wouldn't have been possible without.
Monty Oum: I've been following Monty's work since Haloid, and never has anyone inspired me to take as much action in my life
as he has. Hearing him speak words is always a treat, and will never be without its lessons. Because of him, I taught myself
to animate, model, and essentially make video games. I would be lost without his indirect guidance, and I can't even express
(although I'm really trying here!) how much I appreciate and respect everything he's done/doing. If I wasn't reminded constantly
that I'd "be surprised what I can achieve when I'm pushing myself every second I've got" then I think I'd still be in the same, lost
place I was years ago. Mr. Oum, I owe you one.
Burnie Burns: Out of his many outstanding qualities, if I had to pin the one that's most important onto Mr. Burns, I would say its
his ability to see potential. Yeah, this is a RWBY game, but it's also a way of just giving back (or trying to) to one of the
greatest communities of all time. Burnie is largely responsible for that. He never tells somebody that they can't do something,
and he goes out of his way to share both his and others' experiences to teach aspiring fans how they can achieve their goals. The episode
of Game Time he released with Monty Oum - with the both of them going back and forth over their rise to success and the lessons they learned -
has to be not only my favourite video of all time, but the most inspirational discussion I can think of. Literally seconds after I finished watching
it, I started making RWBY: GE. His charisma & attitude just makes you HAVE to take action. He knows better than most the power of taking
something small and turning it into a force to be reckoned with. Here I have this dinky little survival game which isn't anything special,
but I know because of him that it's a necessary stepping stone to something greater.
Miles Luna & Kerry Shawcross: These two have established a world together that combines anime elements, classic comedy,
and badass action into a tightly knit movie-like package. It's not your run-of-the-mill anything as it's so freaking
original, and you can just see it oozing with potential for future storylines/elaborations. They came in and took something
which could have been easily streamlined and made it something unique and memorable. It's both refreshing and inspiring seeing them
go against the grain, and having nothing but fun while they're doing it. Right now, they've laid down the groundwork for something much,
much bigger and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next.
Beowolves: Thanks for letting me beat on you for the past 5 months. I hope many fans can do the same.
