我在一些外国网站也看见有人说SR-5就是等于85
SR5 has only one gas line because the pump is under the hood, no pressurization going on there.... since it's carbed....
GTS has two gas lines, supply and return. The gas tank is different because it's sealed for being presurized, and the pump is in-tank.
Other differences are: *begs the class to sing along*
GTS has rear disc, SR5 has rear drum
GTS has thicker axels and an optional LSD--hell the whole rear end is different....
GTS has a different interior...
GTS has those factory vinyls that say "16v" yadda yadda on the sides....
GTS has the SAME transmission as the SR5, only difference is 1st gear's ratio. (I actually had an SR5 tranny in my second GTS for faster launches.... worked semi-well; good in theory.)
Ae86 is the chassis code, the gts and sr5 have different motors and differential, people usually get sr5's and convert them due to the fact original gt's are getting harder to find.
Sr5 is NOT an ae86, it is and sr5 which is an ae85(much crappier and slower) much people make the mistake thinking these are ae86s.
In america the AE86 body code was the only chassis shipped, they cut the many of the AE86-AE85 of japan into two, either the Corolla SR5, or the Corolla GT-S.
Specs, GT-S
DOHC 4-AG(E) Motor
5-Speed T-50 Transmisson
Factory Equipped LSD Rear Differental
Rear Disc Brakes, Some ABS some Non ABS
Nice interior
Specs, SR5
SOHC4-AC Motor
5-Speed T-50 Transmisson, but smaller bellhousing.
Non-LSD
Rear Drum brakes
Terrible Interior.
The SR5 was the AE86 body, though it was differnt from the GT-S in body panels and bumpers.
