- A beginning -
In the depths of a ruin,an oclarist discovered a rainbow-colored stone.
"Is this a petrified human eye......?
"It was the most beautiful eye he had ever seen,
And it seemed as if to stare back into his eyes."
I shall make it my life's work to surpass this beauty"
He brought the stone eye back to his atelier,
And before long ,he came to feel as though the eye manifested emotions.
At times it seemed to shine hayyily or lovingly;other times longingly.
As it is still harbored feelings from the distant past......
The ocularist tried to copy it and create an artificial eye,but......
"It's still not enough......?"
"Even though I have sacrificed my body and soul for this work......
"He began to feel overwhelmed by various emotions:Love, nostalgia,loneliness,anger,hate,heartbreak......
A rush of emotions that had broken her heartAnd then he noticed......
Reflected in a mirror ,his own eye,too.gleamed with the colors of the rainbow.

- An ending -
No longer physically constrained by the passing time.
The ocularist finally managed to surpass the beauty of the stone eye;
Having plucked out and processed his only remaining organic part —His very own eye.
"If this is the true essence of art,
What has become of humanity.......?"
—Suddenly,he heard the door open.
As he looked over his shoulder, his remaining eye caught a glimpse of an intruder.
At that same moment , a bullet fired by the intruder shot out his life.
Upon entering the room, the situation was clear for her to see.
From his ruptured countenance , a flower of wires had bloomed.
"Why do we desire emotions?
Even though we have overcome—forbidden—such human weakness......"
She picked up the artificial eye in her iron hand.
"How lovely this rainbow eye is......"
Holding it,she turned back.
To a world where everyone has abandoned weakness—
