Everton demand £30m from Manchester City for Joleon Lescott.
Everton have demanded that Manchester City
pay 30 million pounds for Joleon Lescott, after the central defender was forced
to train alone by manager David Moyes.
The Everton manager believes Lescott has become distracted after City failed
with two bids reportedly worth £15m and £18m.
Lescott will take no part in Everton’s Europa League clash with Sigma Olomouc
tonight and City are expected to return with a third bid for the former Wolves
defender.
Reports suggest City may include Richard Dunne as part of any deal but are
unlikely to reach the 30 million fee wanted by Everton.
David Moyes said yesterday: "We have not had a significant enough offer for us
to sell the player and that remains the case, I have never wanted to sell the
player, but as I said before [Cristiano] Ronaldo was sold by Manchester United,
there will always be a price for a player, but Manchester City have not come
close to meeting ours for Joleon."
