Adverse effects of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines: the spike hypothesis

Vaccination is a major tool for mitigating the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, and mRNA vaccines are central to the ongoing vaccination campaign that is undoubtedly saving thousands of lives.
疫苗接种是缓解2019年冠状病毒病(新冠肺炎)大流行的主要工具,mRNA疫苗是正在进行的疫苗接种运动的核心,这无疑挽救了数千人的生命。
However, adverse effects (AEs) following vaccination have been noted which may relate to a proinflammatory action of the lipid nanoparticles used or the delivered mRNA (i.e., the vaccine formulation), as well as to the unique nature, expression pattern, binding profile, and proinflammatory effects of the produced antigens - spike (S) protein and/or its subunits/peptide fragments - in human tissues or organs.
然而,已注意到疫苗接种后的不良反应(AE),其可能与所用脂质纳米颗粒或所递送的mRNA(即疫苗制剂)的促炎作用有关,也可能与独特的性质、表达模式、结合谱有关,以及所产生的抗原——刺突(S)蛋白和/或其亚基/肽片段——在人体组织或器官中的促炎作用。
Current knowledge on this topic originates mostly from cell-based assays or from model organisms; further research on the cellular/molecular basis of the mRNA vaccine-induced AEs will therefore promise safety, maintain trust, and direct health policies.
目前关于这一主题的知识主要来源于基于细胞的分析或模型生物;因此,对mRNA疫苗诱导的AE的细胞/分子基础的进一步研究将保证安全、保持信任和直接的健康政策。
